Hello and thank you for visiting our page!  I have been married to my incredibly supportive husband Brenden, for 11 years.  We have two young children ages 6 and 8.  I have been a radiographer for 19 years, and an “almost” stay-at-home Mom for the past 8 years.  I am so grateful for both experiences in my life!

I was born and raised in Vernon BC, but spent the last 19 years all over Alberta.  We were so excited when a career opportunity came available for my husband to explore, here in Kelowna.  I instantly connected with the landscapes, farm markets, lakes, and summer warmth.  I knew that this city would allow me to grow into a better version of myself and learn what was most important to me.

I find joy spending my days chasing energetic kids, hiking, biking, snowboarding and swimming.

One other passion is processing fresh, local, pesticide-free foods and finding ways to incorporate them into our day-to-day meals.  I find true satisfaction in knowing where the food that nourishes my family comes from.  

I became very interested in cooking for kids when our son was 18 months old.  He decided he didn’t like meat, any meat, in any form.  I had to get very creative to get enough protein into our energetic child.  After learning that he was low in Iron, I had to improve my skills even more.  How to get more nutrients into this child!

After our daughter was born, I continued to introduce her to the same healthy foods that I had with our son.   Turns out she loves only meat.

I was fatigued by the number of meals I needed to make in a day, to make sure everyone had full happy tummies.   Over the past few years, I have taught myself how to pack every great-tasting bite, with all kinds of nutrients and new flavors for the whole family to enjoy.

I feel fortunate to have met my friend and cofounder of Happy Tummies, Naomi, through this new adventure to Kelowna.  My excitement could not be contained when she approached me with this business idea.  I would be able to share my passion for clean, nutritious food, my experience with different palates, and my love of all things local.  I am elated to be a part of this journey.  Unfortunately, Naomi has stepped back from the business, but you will still see her around markets and things.  She is an incredible support!

At Happy Tummies it is simple:  happy tummies, happy kids, happy families!
